The Play Framework ...I agree with the statement that more traditional Java patterns have lead to problems. However, it is unfortunately always difficult to persuade the masses though and it typically takes time for thinking to change. When solutions are advised by a major party then it is easy to follow the masses but that obviously does not make those things right.The jury is out on if another actual programming language is needed or not. I go with the notion of thinking differently about implementation and design rather than of starting with a new language. I found the Play framework some time back and it looks like a good solution to a lot of headaches and something worth considering. Here is an interesting review of it.
